Come together in Dalby for RU OK? Day

Thursday 10 September 2026 | 2.00pm – 7.00pm
Myall Creek Parklands, Dalby
Join us at Myall Creek Parklands for the official opening of the Odd Socks Exhibition and an afternoon of fun, creativity, music, and community activities for all ages.
And, of course, we’re inviting everyone to wear their odd socks!
Odd socks are a simple reminder that it’s okay to be different, to stand out and, most importantly, that we all have a role to play in creating a community where people feel connected and supported.
Something for everyone
Bring your family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues and get involved in the afternoon’s activities.
🧦 Odd Socks Parade
Show off your most colourful, creative, or mismatched socks in our Odd Socks Parade, with categories for different age groups.
🧦 Clothesline Challenge
How many socks can you peg in one minute? Take on the challenge and see how quickly you can get those socks on the line!
🧦 Create a Sock Puppet
Get creative and make your very own sock puppet. A fun activity for kids, families, and anyone who enjoys a little creativity.
🎵 One Song – One Thousand Voices
Local schools will join forces with Josh Arnold for a special community participation project, including songwriting and the creation of one shared song.
🎤 Live performance
Enjoy a performance by Josh Arnold as part of an afternoon celebrating the power of music and community connection.
💬 Connect and find support
Explore mental health information and support stalls and discover the local services and organisations available to support people in our community.
A guest speaker will also join us, with details to be announced.

A community event, led by our community
We’re proud to have local School Captains as our event MCs, helping bring the afternoon together and showcasing the voices of young people in our community.
There will also be a free sausage sizzle and donuts, making it easy to come along, stay awhile and enjoy the afternoon with family, friends and the wider Dalby community.
Everyone is welcome
Whether you come along for the activities, wear your odd socks, listen to the music, connect with local support services or simply spend some time with your community, you are welcome.
RU OK? Day is a reminder that meaningful conversations can start anywhere — and that looking out for one another is something we can all do.
Come along. Wear your odd socks. Bring a friend. Be part of the conversation.
